They were going to interrogate Lester then kill him, they wanted to know who Lorne Malvo is, but he escaped and then they went to jail with him, and being in jail with him gave them the oppurtunity to interrogate him, they got the information they wanted then left him, so they didn’t kill him, obviously they didn’t kill him because they’re in a police station, but why were they gonna kill him but yet afterwards letting him live is no issue? If that’s the case then what’s the point of killing when they don’t need to?
